NATURAL ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION Smoke and ash spewed out of Mexico's Colima volcano on Friday (September 30), prompting officials to alert communities living under the shadow of the massive volcano. According to website volcanodiscovery.com, increased activity at the volcano is due to the growth of a new lava dome. The Fire Volcano, officially known as the Colima Volcano, is part of the Pacific Ring of Fire. Mexico has more than 3,000 volcanoes, but only 14 are considered active.
