Shark killed after biting off surfer's leg

ROUGH CUT - SUBTITLED (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Authorities think this is the shark that bit off a surfer's leg. It was trapped and left to die. (SOUNDBITE) (English) WEST AUSTRALIAN PREMIER, COLIN BARNETT, SAYING: "We'll always put public safety first, I do not apologise for that. Because the shark, presumably the one shark, had been circling around in that area for over 24 hours. That, to me, is a threat." Its body has been dumped at sea. The injured surfer is still in hospital and in critical condition.
