Heavy rain pummels the West Coast

STORY: Flooding wreaking havoc on the West Coast.. Three to eight inches of rain are forecast in the region with another half foot to soak central and northern California and the Sierra Nevada mountains through early Tuesday.. According to the National Weather Service, almost 40 rivers or creeks were flooded Sunday, or threatened to top their banks... causing highways to be closed... And it's not just rain causing problems, but heavy snow too.. Both causing mudslides, shutting down roads. The severe weather...coming as a shock in the region that has suffered from drought for years...
