This weekend's ice storm is responsible for at least six deaths in the central U.S. and officials say thousands are still without power. Freezing rain coated power lines, trees and cars in a layer of ice. A winter weather alert remains in effect for some areas. But in places like Barber County, Kansas, rising temperatures could bring some much needed relief for residents who have been hit hard by the harsh weather. (SOUNDBITE) MARIE TUTTLE, SAYING: "I looked outside from the couch in there, and I saw a bunch of branches down. I was flippin. I was afraid one would hit him. One would go through our car." Grand Prairie, Texas is cleaning up after a tornado ripped through the area, Sunday night. Powerful winds damaged this hangar. Authorities say at least 30 homes were damaged near Dallas after strong winds and hail rolled through. Oklahoma residents are hoping for a thaw after many cars were coated in ice. (SOUNDBITE) NELSE O'HAIR, SAYING: "It covered up my pickup, covered up her car, covered up the neighbor's van, just been digging ever since." The Central U.S. has been battered since Friday. But the storm is finally moving out of the region.
