A monster storm is taking aim at California. And threatening to bring record flooding. Prompting homeowners to do what they can to protect their property. SOUNDBITE: MARK COOPER, HOMEOWNER, SAYING: "I think this will direct a lot of the water, it helps to keep it off the road, and that's all good I suppose." Heavy rain is expected to pelt much of Central and Northern California. Crews were already busy unclogging flooded roads in the Santa Cruz Mountains from a storm earlier in the week. NATS: RIVER People living near water are keeping a close eye on river levels. Gina Chestnutt has already cleared out her basement as a precaution. SOUNDBITE: GINA CHESTNUTT, HOMEOWNER, SAYING: "We're hoping it doesn't get that high. It sounds like it could with this storm coming in. Even last week, it got almost up to the patio, which is very high in the base." If the flooding gets bad, Yosemite National Park could close. Rangers have already shut all the roads leading to the park's valley.
