A powerful storm hits New Orleans bringing down trees, power lines, and injuring several people. Linda So reports.
Cleanup is underway in New Orleans after a tornado touched down in the city's 7th Ward. The storm packing 80 mile-per-hour winds unleashed driving rains and left a trail of damage. At least two people were hurt. The storm knocked downed trees and power lines. SOUNDBITE: PRESHUS ROBERTSON, NEW ORLEANS RESIDENT, SAYING: "All I heard was the woooo and the big boom." Several abandoned buildings collapsed. Many cars were also damaged. SOUNDBITE: UNIDENTIFIED NEW ORLEANS RESIDENT, SAYING: "The wind was so strong, the wind was pickin' us up!" Police brought in search dogs to search through the damage. SOUNDBITE: NEW ORLEANS MAYOR MITCH LANDRIEU, SAYING: "We take all the precautions that's why we have the dogs, the dogs are well trained." Most of the damage happened in the city's 7th Ward, an area hit hard by Hurricane Katrina.
